OK was just thinking about all the people who say that the intel stock heatsink sucks and all that s*** well my stock heatsink on my i7 is giving me great temps (28-35C idle, 50-60C load) OC to 3.0GHz.

I know all you gamers like to run your i7's @ 3.8-4.0GHz on your $70-100 behemoth coolers with super crazy voltages and DDR3-1trillion MHz memory for what, a 2-3fps increase in games????

All I had to do was change my BCLK from 133 to 150MHz and turn off turbo mode with my DDR3-1333 ram and im all set but everyone else goes out and buys an $80 cooler and faster rated memory that costs an additional $50 so they can have 1% higher framerates than me lol.

OKey so iNtEl sToCk hEaTsInK iS tEh sUcKzOr AMIRITE?????

RONG

how about instead of buyin $100+ of coolars nd ddr3-1337 memz get a better video card where itl count lol.

Hav a nice day and gg klol

^_____ Probably.

First, some people like their computers to be quiet. Stock fans aren't known for this. Second, your dealing with an I7, try using the stock one for a C2D, or even worse the old P4. Temps and noise will be higher if you use the stock HSF.

You are right about the last part. A P45 with a stock cooler and DDR2-800 and the GTX260 will give you more FPS then an X48, AFM HSF, DDR3-1333 and the 9800GT. The first option will probably cost less as well. If you have the $$$ to spend however, you can get cool and quiet.
