I'm going to be doing Gameplay Videos, and I don't want annoying CLICKCLICK in the background, but I stall want to get a Mechanical Gaming Keyboard.
From my research, I belive that either the Cherry MX Red or the Cherry MX Brown are the way to go.

If I am wrong, please correct me.
Thanks!

The most commonly available are blue, brown, red, and black. The only one with an audible click is blue. The others DO make sounds, but not because of switch activation. They make sounds when the key caps land on the keyboard. A nice way to reduce that sound is through the use of O-rings.

The best thing to do with mechanical MX cherry keys is to try them out before you buy. Each one has a distinct feel to it and it's a matter of personal preference.

Here is a video of sounds associated with each type of cherry key along with o-ring modifications.

As long as you don't pick blue you won't have a loud keyboard.

Thanks very much! That was extremely helpful. I wasn't 100% sure, as I bought myself a Razer Blackwidow Ultimate and I wasn't happy with the sound. Very Helpful!

I personally prefer BROWN for the best compromise between NOISE and TACTILE feedback.

You can Google different gaming mechanical keyboards. Logitech has one but there are cheaper ones that seem great. I wasn't sure if you had the non-Stealth version of the Ultimate but this link was interesting regardless for info so I added it:

I've narrowed my choice down to a Corsair K70 (BROWN keys) or a K90 (RED keys).

*Be WARNED that some keyboards like the K70 have different key options so make sure you don't buy RED if you meant to buy BROWN.

Quote:
" The Cherry MX Red models we reviewed are very good for gaming as a result of the switch mechanism’s low resistance despite being unforgiving of typing mistakes. Otherwise, the Blues and Browns would be the superior personal choice."

So I'm leaning towards BROWN keys as I do a lot of typing as well.
