Hello all,

I'm asking about what graphics card would be right for me, and for my system.

My System:

---------------------------
Cooler Master 330 Case

460w eXtreme Power PSU (combined 36 amps on 12v rails)

AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+ 2.0GHz

2GB Generic Memory

320GB Seagate HDD

ASUS A8MN-BR (HP Board)
---------------------------

Me:

I would like to play most games on High, with about 50-60 fps for games like COD4 and stuff

I'd be happy playing games like Crysis with about 20-30 fps or 30-40 with High settings

Basically, My budget is £80, Graphics cards I've looked at so far are 9600gt, 9800gt, 4770 and 4850.

My biggest concern is the power, will my system be able to run a 4850 without being too underpowered??

Thanks, Ben

If you could save £30 more you could get a GTX260 ....but i think your CPU would be limiting you.

If your budget is ABSOLUBTLEY £80 and no more then i would chose the 4850.

your PSU should be ok with only 1 of the above graphics cards....if you wish to SLI / Xfire then you'd need to upgrade your PSU (and CPU for that matter)

For max gains though i would recommend overclocking your CPU at least or upgrade.

Ok, thanks a lot. I'll seriously consider getting a 4850, if I can, when I next get some decent $$$ I'll buy a new PSU and CPU :) Thanks again

Oooo, why didn't I think of that? Sometimes I really suprise myself with my own stupidity. Anyways, when is the 5000 series expected?
