100% wrong . They even didnt have the card

...There will be one wildcard however, and that is Typical Board Power. The 7950B was rated for 225W while 280 is rated for 250W. Until we have a card in hand we’re not in a position to tell whether AMD has made any meaningful change here to power limits or chip binning, or if this they’re just assigning the card the 280X’s TBP for consistency’s sake.

test...
Actually, I'm not sure wikipedia is wrong. Anandtech's launch article lists 250W in a table, but also discusses the fact that the power limit was raised from 225W for the 7950B to 250W for the r9 280 (otherwise they're effectively the same card).

Also they ship with 6pin (75W) and 8 pin (150W) connectors, plus 75W from PCIe slot meaning a ceiling of 300W. A 200W card could make do with 2x 6 pin connectors for a total draw of 225W.

The last point is hardly significant, but I trust Anandtech over PCpartpicker any day of the week.
