What's this piece of my motherboard that I broke off do?

Ok so while changing my video card I apparently wasn't too careful and managed to bust off the capacitor (I have no idea if that's the name) small cylindrical shaped part from my motherboard.

It was located underneath my videocard and above where the soundcard goes in. So far everything is running correctly, and I am going through the different programs on my computer to see if any of them are screwed up now.

Starcraft apparently cannot automatically sense what video settings it should have and told me to set them manually. Other than that I haven't found anything yet, and that could be due to the video card being so new I am guessing?

Here are a few pictures of the area where I am pretty sure the piece broke off of, and the piece itself (Note I put some of the images at 1200 width so you can see the parts easier)

I tried to find a tech support section to put this into, but didn't find one and put it here instead. I'm not sure if this part is something I can live without(stupid thought if it was built into the mb in the first place, but I'm just trying to hope here as I don't have the cash for a new computer right now) or not.

If anyone could let me know if this is an important piece and/or if I can replace it or even need to? Little pieces like this I have really no idea about. I've done a bit of searching but not found anything definitive just yet.

Please note that I at first thought that I had broken off the c407 point on the motherboard, however my friend confirms that this is an empty spot on the motherboard, and that it can't be from there

Here is my computer's info if needed>

I have no idea what the component does.

What might you do about it?

1. Live with it and see if anything goes wrong. The part might have been part of a function that you will never use.

2. If your motherboard is under warranty, see if you can rma it. I would consider that the motherboard was defectively assembled with a loose part.
