What's up with my internet connection?

My internet connection became very slow recently.
It took me like 5 minutes to load www.speedtest.net and the test shows that I have 94 Mbps download and 75 Mbps upload. How is that possible?
Looking at the task manager, my CPU is usually at around 3 %, Memory at 30 %, Disk at 5 % and Network at 0 %.

Online gaming seems to work just fine. Only browsing is super slow. I tried Google Chrome and Firefox.
Is there any program to check and count how many times my internet is down so I can brag about it to my ISP?

My router is quite old. I did try buying a new one, but it was even worse. I was loosing connection every time I was downloading something. Maybe I can get some budget router suggestions?

Hi 'Hakolb'
I'm not sure exactly where the problem lies but you could try ensuring that there is no malware on your system, then update ALL your software/firmware to include your modem. Good Luck.

There is no malware. I scanned my computer with Malwarebytes Anti-Malware.

I was watching a video just a moment ago. Chrome minimazed or something (I could still hear the sound) and when I tried turning it back on, it outputted a message that it didn't shut down and I was able to restore the pages I was in. After I restored them, Google Chrome went unresponsive. Firefox also goes unresponsive. Internet Explorer is just very slow.
What's up with these browsers?

I've been having sort of the same problem with 'Yahoo' over the past couple of weeks. While using it as my search engine it often opens a pop-up indicating that the program has stopped working and needs to close. I don't know, maybe the NSA spyware is overloading the system. LOL
