So I just moved into a new townhouse and ran CAT6 hardlines to EVERY TV and computer in the place (pain in the ass to do I might add).

I have Optimum 1Gig service. Yeah, I know.....

My newly build gaming system for my son is showing 950+Mbps with speedtest.net but the PC in my bedroom is only showing <100 Mbps (but feels like a LOT more). WHY???

I have an Asus Maximus VI Hero LGA 1150 mobo which has an onboard Gigabit NIC so it should show 1G not 100M.

Am I losing it??

Solution
I would suspect a bad cable, or bad cable termination.

As a temp test, run a good quality Cat5e from PC to router.
Buy a 100-200 foot cable to test.

Not necessarily.
A substadard cable or termination may transmit at 100 mbps vs a good cable at 1000 mbps.
I connected the CAT6 from my PC into another keystone jack in my wallplate and it jumped up to 924Mbps. I gotta check to see how I wired that bad jack. Never knew that you could still receive data but at lower rate. Learn something new every day! Thanks for the help.
