What's Up with no Linux

Ok... I finished building my computer and when i go to the BIOS to install Linux it says there is no software in it what should I do? I used universal pendrive and plugged it into the computer and gave me the error. Did I have to extract or what?

if you just dragged and dropped the linux ISO file on the pendrive it will not work

rufus will work with Linux ISO's too. here are instructions you can use. it mentions Ubuntu but its the same for any linux ISO
