What's up with Non-infernal Infernal Cards

When I saw the Vampire entitled "Marlene the Infernalist" I got
tremedously excited. Surely this was a vampire that I could make an
infernal deck around. Not so. Instead of consorting with demons, it
looks like she consorts with Venture Antitribu! Now, I was thinking I
could add an Infernal Familiar so that she could give Infernal Pursuit.
Wouldn't that be cool. Marlene the Infernalist uses her Infernal
Familiar to give Infernal Pursuit.

Strangely, none of these cards actually seem to be infernal.

They were all printed before the infernal rule was introduced into the
game.

Still, she can get an Infernal Familiar to let her use some of the
Daimoinen cards.

Sure, but why not make an advanced version of Marlene that makes her
Infernal? They did it with Dylan. It would seem that she is a mere
poser compared to Dylan. She attends black mass, but doesn't really
believe: a non-practicing demon worshipper.

Yes, she is a poser. I hope they print an advanced of her and she's
*still* not infernal, because I think it's funnier that way.

Marlene should equip with the Textbook Damnation.

Then she would fit her title!

It would seem that, yes, except that Dylan was one of the first canon
vampires written for the RPG as being Infernal (1994, right around the
time Jyhad was first published.) I wouldn't be surprised to see an
Infernal Marlene (Adv) somewhere down the road, though.

And when merged, her name would change to Marlene the Non-Infernalist.
She'd still be Infernal, of course.
