[SOLVED] What's worse: leaving a computer sitting at a Windows 10 setup screen for 24 hours or doing a hard shut down?

I was working on getting Windows 10 installed for this guy but I forgot that it makes you connect your Microsoft account, which I do not have access to. He won't be available to take it back until tomorrow so I'm wondering what I should do. I don't want to leave it sitting on the same screen for an entire day but I also don't want to do a hard shut down. But I'm going to have to do one or the other. It won't let me arrow back to an earlier screen.

Thats why you do the install with no LAN cable. Or WiFi off.

Shut it down, and do the whole installation from the beginning, when you're ready.

Just shut it down, go to diskpart to wipe it clean then reinstall, and dont tell the guy you did this, no one will know....

If its been at same screen for 24 hours, its not going to change. So either way you need to start again. It should only take a max of a few hours on hdd, and even less on ssd.

Just install windows, with a local account. The guy can create a new profile and link his MS account if he wants it too. Nice sometimes to have a second account too, when you need to this PC again as well.
