Can anyone tell me why "customer brand" Samsung DDR 333 PC2700 memory is consisdered bad when compared to authentic Samsung memory?? Is the non-aunthenic Samsung memory slower?? I tried checking to see on Samsung's webiste if my memory is authentic or not but i can't figure it out. How do you do this??

OK....this is what I found out about my newly aquired Samsung 512MB DDR333 memory.

Hmm, I have the exact same RAM chips. Mine isn't authentic, but I have heard that any RAM with that particular Samsung chip is an extreme overclocker, which is why I bought mine. You'll probably be happy with your purchase.

AFAIK, the RAM you bought does not have the Samsung brand name on the PCB itself but it's physcially identical to genuine Samsung RAM but was licensed to PowMem. Of course, I'm not 100% sure, but I've read something like that somewhere.
