Question Whats wrong with my drives?

Hi, I just built my main pc again from a dead motherboard. After I installed everything, my two western digital 1tb hdd dont shownup but my boot ssd drive does. These wd drives came from my other working pc I was using for the time being. But now that i built my main pc again, the two drives wont show up. They have data on them (games) that I used In my back up pc. But now I cant get them to be recognized in command prompt, disk management, device management. Or bios and it's really pissing me off. One of the drives is relatively new. In just real stumped st the moment and dont want to have to go buy new drives.

Thermaltake toughpower 750w
Crucial 250gb ssd sata
2 1tb wd drives
Corsair 115i cooler.

Were the HDDs configured as RAID devices, previously? Does your BIOS detect the HDDs properly?

Both SATA power and data connections are firmly attached to each HDD?

They were not. Both set to sata enabled. I had a back up pc they were in, had games on it. Then finally built my main pc and put those in there. And they wont show up. Put one back into the other pc, that wont shoenup anymore either. I dont get it.

Correct. Tries using list disk in cmd prompt and nothing. Then disk management and nothing. Bios doesnt show either. Theres no way that they're bricked or dead.

Does using alternate SATA ports and/or SATA data cables make a difference?

No sir, I even used brand new cables that came with my motherboard.

I havent interchanged any of my cables since this is the only modular power supply I have. Both drives were working on my back up pc. Now I go and put these into my main, nothing shows up. But my boot ssd does. Tried putting the drives back into the backup that they were pulled from before. And they didnt pop back up.

I would still check the TVS diodes, assuming that your drives no longer spin up. The SSD runs off +5V whereas the HDDs require both +12V and +5V. It could be that your new PSU overvolted the +12V rails.

Ill try using two different data cables coming from the power supply to power the hard drives and ssd seperate

I did say both drives spin up. I even went ahead and bought a brand new 2tb wd hdd. Still same results, not being picked up by the pc. But my ssd boot drive is being picked up. And theyre both ran off the same power cable from the psu.

Another note. I just tried switching the ssd boot drive cable and hard drive cable (ssd shows up and everything), and still same results. My hard drive (brand new) wont show up even when plugged into a knowingly good sata port.
