hi everyone, i've got an issue with my coolermaster seidon 120xl

yesterday, when i put the WC for the first time, it show 33 degree in average

then, i remove the WC for a little bit to place mobo cover
i clean thermal paste only with tissue on both WC and cpu

after that, i install the WC again, but shows 39-40 on average, whats wrong?

thanks for the advance

It could boil down to the quality of the thermal paste being used and that it might differ from what was originally applied (if any).
It might also boil down to the quantity used. Having said that, I certainly would not worry about those temps as they sound quite normal.

thats normal?
okay thankyou for the advice
i just feel old if my WC not give the best performance :)

Questions also around if fans, pump and controls also set back up and functioning in same manner. Were fan curves reset? Are fans running? Is pump running, but temps didn't get hot enough to warrant a known failure?

It would seem that something changed from the installation, including the thermal paste, which when disturbed, should be cleaned and re-applied with new paste. Validate all install is correct.

Tissue is not a good agent used for cleaning the cpu/pump. Use a coffee filter instead. Tissue leaves lint that interferes with contact. Also verify two things. First is that the paste wasn't applied too thick and second, the pump must be tight to the cpu, not just the screws tight.

everything correct, i use new thermal paste with exact same product, screw tightly, fans spinning, and curve in control is same

thats what i afraid for, i didnt use coffee filter which is very smooth 🙁
