whats wrong with this CPU?

I have recently purchased this I7 2600 CPU for $80 but the turbo boost feature doesn't seem to kick in, at all. I have compared the CPU to some other ones online but it looks like it has been flash since the bracket's spacing looks off, compared to the other ones i've come across.

That clearly shows you running at turbo speeds. Normal is 3.4ghz, that's 3.5ghz.

Thanks for the reply but the problem is the CPU, under heavy load doesn't EVER exceed that frequency.

Turbo has different speeds depending on how many cores are being used. If 4 are being used, that is the highest it will ever go. Test with 1 core and you should see it go higher. Make sure there isn't any background stuff that will use other cores.

Ahh OK it's just that I've seen a Ww2 test video on YouTube and his was boosting past 3.5.BTW he has a motherboard that doesn't support overclocking
