Whats your max magnification for telescope eye piece for moon?

This is more a general statement for myself to everybody.

I bought a costco telescope and have been playing around with it hooking up my dslr camera. I get great photos with it.

I have come across for sale a 30x magnification on an microscope eye piece. I was wondering if anybody had used something this powerful for taking up close moon photos with....

I'd be using an adapter mount to hookup my DSLR camera and this.

Would you generally say this is overkill for magnification!?

Overkill only comes into play when the quality starts to suffer, or your wallet gets too light.

However...
This was taken with a Fuji XT-1 and a 50-230mm zoom.

A reasonable zoom lens is good even when you crop the resulting image quite closely.
Get the right focus and exposure, and poof...

I can probably get that a teeny bit better. This was my first week with that camera.
