Hi forum users. I have an issue with my mother's WhatsApp that I haven't been able to figure out the solution to. Recently, my mum's phone got upgraded to an iPhone 14. This issue was non-existent in her previous iPhone 7. After using the iPhone 14 for several months, she realized the pictures sent/received by her disappears on WhatsApp, as shown below. This is the same for URLs with preview images. And the disappearance of the media happens irregularly, sometimes they disappear after weeks, sometimes after days.

The pictures sent/received by my mum that are saved in the iPhone photo gallery does not disappear, and my mum did not delete them. The media save settings are shown below:
This is on par with the settings I have had and I haven't had any issues with the media disappearing.
I tried to Google this but there does not seem to be a similar issue that I have encountered, and I have also tried contacting WhatsApp help center on her WhatsApp but they have not replied after a month. I'm pretty sure it's an app bug but I'm not sure what I should do to resolve this issue. Does anyone have any clue?
