WHEA error on new Asus laptop

Hi everybody!

So a few days ago my 6 months old Asus UX530UX started coughing up WHEA errors with a 0124 bug check code while running Ableton Live. It continued every hour or so (with the software open) and has until this day. Thought it might be heat-related, but now I'm not so sure, since it happened today at work as well, when only Chrome and Microsoft Word was running.

Anyway so I rushed online, read everything I could, ran all the stress tests and whatnot, updated all possible drivers, checked that there was no overclocking, and finally thought, ok, I got this. No problemo.

Well.

Here's the latest dump after the latest Ableton BSoD WHEA error:

WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR (124)

source that reported the error. Parameter 2 holds the address of the

I created a OneDrive folder for the full dump files as well: https://1drv.ms/f/s!AszcyPA4h8bpgZEdsGZFRaFlagonKQ

I hope somebody is able to help me! This is a new $1500 machine, I mean, come on - what's going on here?! So frustrating .. and consistent.

Thanks in advance, no matter if anybody can or has the time to help. You guys are awesome. Helping out and aiding strangers fixing their workstations every day - means a lot!!

If your CPU is overclocked, revert back to stock default clocks speeds.

Also disabling Fast Startup might help.
Go to “Power options” then click on “Choose what the power buttons do” on the left pane.
Click on “Change settings that are currently unavailable.”
Under “Shutdown settings” turn off “Turn on fast startup”.

Hi there! Thanks for taking your time to reply. However, as I wrote, it is not overclocked (checked again - nope) and turning off Fast Startup didn't help either. :(

I put the latest dump files in the OneDrive folder https://goo.gl/jLoshT

You have the same error on all dump files and that is usually related to faulty hardware, overheating, RAM errors, CPU and of course a PSU that cannot provide reliable power to motherboard. Sometimes a faulty motherboard with overheating VRM could spit that error.
I have seen that error with Fast Startup enabled and with some 3rd party antivirus (Norton).

Disconnect the PSU, press the power button for 15 seconds and make sure all hardware (RAM, GPU, etc) and power cables are seated properly.

Could you post your system components?

Thanks again for your reply.

So since this post I have performed a clean install of Windows. It didn't help, and yesterday it crashed after being idle for at least 4 hours, so I doubt it is due to overheating.

I have uploaded the lastest dump file to OneDrive. The specs: https://goo.gl/LF4SGb

Intel® Core™ i7-7500U processor 2.7GHz
NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX950 2GB GDDR5 VRAM
16GB 2133MHz DDR4 onboard
512GB SATA3 M.2 SSD
802.11ac Wi-Fi, IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/n compatible
50Wh 3-cell lithium-polymer battery
90W power adapter

Thanks again.
