I've got a wheezy Dell XPS 8500 running Win 10 with a it-3770 four core chip running @ 3.4 MHz and 8 Gb of Ram. The system is on a WD 1 Tb HDD with I have a aviation simulation on a Samsung 256 Gb SSD. The video card is an AMD Radeon HD 7500 with 1 Gb of on-board memory. I'm running the aviation simulation minimal addons and custom scenery but the system preformance results are very shaky to say the least.

I know its time to dump this machine, but I'd like to try to get another year or so out of it. I was wondering if I invested in a used GTX 750 Ti or similar card, might I see some improvement?

Thanks in advance,

Don't dump the machine yet. Your bottleneck is the GPU. You might see some improvement from a 750Ti, but what's better is a 1070 . Those you can find used on craigslist for as low as 200 bucks now and they will extend your wheezy Dell for another year tops! Good luck!

Thanks for the previous information.

I see this morning that Newegg is offering a new Nvidia Geforce GTX 1650 for about $170. What about that card? I realize that the GTX 1070 is more powerful, but I'm thinking that the lower price for a new under warranty card might be what I need for my older machine until I can convince the powers that be that I need a completely new build. I'm also looking at a GTX 1060. It looks like a better deal that the GTX 1650. Any advice will be appreciated.

Thanks,
