Thanks, I checked that and the whole document was background "no color" font "black."

Did the black cartridge run out? Some printers will use a color mixture to simulate black ink when the black runs out.

Thanks again! The cartridge is new and each time it prints it's fine in black until the last line!

just recently. We've started to select "black snd white" for each print job, but's that's not as it should be!

No, it shouldn't have to be that way. That's one of the weirder things I've heard of. If the document itself doesn't have color in the last line, the printout shouldn't unless some sort of printing template has been set up.
