when a cpu bottleneck a gpu , what graphics settings i should lower ?
resolution? textures? Antialiasing ? AF ? shadows ? motion blur? which ones are more cpu demanding than gpu ?

in many games my cpu usage is at 100% , while the gpu usuallly at 40-60% . i change from higher settings to low and got only around 5 fps more , seems that only resolution makes difference

On lower resolutions, thing are more CPU intensive. On higher resolution, things are more GPU intensive.

I would advise you to either overclock your CPU or change it.

I had major bottleneck on my Athlon II x4 620 especially in open world games like Crysis and Skyrim. I overclocked it as high as i could and that helped but didn't get rid of it. I'm hoping this AMD FX-6350 i just bought will do the trick. It's only 140 right now on newegg. if a new processor isn't an option then overclock. I've tampered with so many graphics settings in so many games trying to get rid of a cpu bottleneck but none had any major effect. Those settings usually really only help when it's your GPU that's bottlenecking

actually im waiting my 1155 mobo return from RMA and im having to use a c2d e4600
