Hello community!

Im worrying because I have broken jack plug there, and tried everything to get it out, but zero effects. Yesterday ordered External soundcard, and today this thing happened. Thats why I am asking if its disabling power supply.

Sorry for my englando

Solution
You can disable the motherboard audio in the BIOS. Then you can use your new soundcard.

(page 54 Engish motherboard manual)
Onboard HD Audio
Select [Auto], [Enabled] or [Disabled] for the onboard HD Audio feature. If
you select [Auto], the onboard HD Audio will be disabled when PCI Sound
Card is plugged.
The broken jack plug happened.
Wasted like 8 hours trying to removed that from jack, but still 1/3 of jack is there (the part without plastic, only withmetal plug).

I am not using internal soundcard, so having broken audio is not a problem, but i am scared that jack won't make any problems with motherboard or other things because there will be still power in the jack

Thats why I am asking, because i saw this option in BIOS.

I will be so glad if I could leave this for some weeks, because need PC now, and can't send for repair.

Anyway waiting some time, maybe someone will answer too :).

Thanks for answer!

I don't really know what your trying to describe. You list nothing for specifications. If your working with AC'97 Audio, then you must have a very old system or very old case. In 2004, Intel released Intel High Definition Audio (HD Audio) which is a successor that is not backward compatible with AC'97.

Damn, maybe i have wrote the wrong one, because scared about launching PC.

I am trying to get an answer if there is a danger of destroying, breaking motherboard or other item when there is a broke pin in mini jack input.
I have Asrock z77 pro3.
