When can we expect 16GB unbuffered DDR3 sticks?

Googling this proved difficult. I'm trying to upgrade a X79 board already maxed out at 64GB and would like to plan ahead. Thanks!

Hi,

16 GB DDR3 sticks are available. Not only 16, but even higher sizes. However, your motherboards, supports upto 64 GB using 8 GB modules on 8 slots. 16 GB and above are not supported.

Where can I find some? Newegg doesn't carry any. Are you sure they are unbuffered?

Yes. Newegg doesn't offer. You can try amazon, they have it I believe or other vendors through google.
