I think AMD could cash in on a lot of loyal fans if they'd let manufactors start releasing future boards like that...people could buy crappy cheap semprons and wait for kuma or whatever....new HT tech and crap like that...especially if they let people start buying am2+ rd600 boards...i'd scoreone!! but alas...yet another blunder on AMD's part.

I think everyone knows that when they fashionably late catch up they'll be within a few % of intel + or - doesn't really matter...

According to the report, AM2+ will debut Q3 2007 - alongside the 'Altair' K8L chip, presumably - with AM3 coming in H2 2008.

I should do my research before i start whining...q3 though!! wtf?!

I know it's possibly fan-boyish of me, but so far it seems that Intel is the way to go, as far as the long run goes --- the E6600, E6700 outperforms anything AMD has to offer so far, and are on upgradeable sockets to quad-core when it becomes affordable. Even AMD's Socket F two CPU solution is expensive, and in benchmarks, runs slower than dual-core AMD alternatives. Also, with so many new AMD sockets, it doesn't really make sense to purchase a new AMD based computer to just have to upgrade to a new socket with a new motherboard and stuff later this year. Check out these benchmarks:

I've liked AMD for some time now, and I hope they come out with a good quad-core later this year that's available on AM2.
