Question When enabling Gsync, monitor says input not supported

Hi guys, as the title says, I'm having trouble enabling Gsync on my freesync compatible monitor.
The monitor is the AOC C27G1 (27 in, 144hz).

Basically, this is really weird. I'm attaching a picture as to when things go wrong. I am able to check + apply the "enable gsync compatible" (1), BUT when I try to check + apply the "enable settings for selected display model" (2), my monitor goes black and proceeds to say "input not supported."
Anyone have any ideas what the cause might be?

What connector are you using? HDMI? Display port? DVI?

I am using Displayport. When I use HDMI, the Gsync tab in Nvidia CP doesn't even show up

Is your AOC C27G1 freesync monitor because when searching up your monitor that what keep seeing so g sync is not going to work!
