When ever I log on to my profile in my laptop it opens but shows an empty black screen and nothing else

When ever I log on to my laptop it show enter password and then an empty black screen appears thats it. Icons are not displayed

Can you please confirm if you are able to do any other tasks such as launching any app or browsing the Internet?

You may want to create a new user account and try signing in to it to check if it is the user profile that is culprit.
