Question When holding down a key for a game it spams the key instead of holding it down

when i try to press w in a game it starts walking pauses for a second then starts walking and that repeats until i press another key while holding my orignal key down i have tried turning filter keys on and off to no success i tried moving the keyboards usb to another slot nothing changed almost every game is unplayable due to this and i have no idea how to fix it
