When I boot my computer, it boots to a screen that has Windows 7 twice

yah sounds like the dual boot screen listing 2 spearate os's.

it's an easy fix assuming you can figure out which entry is the right one.

when it goes to this screen, select the top entry and see if it boots. then do it again with the second entry and see if it does as well. more than likely only one of them will boot. the other one needs to be deleted.

okay, how do I delete the other one? Go to disk management and go to the C: drive ?

type "msconfig" into the run command and select the "boot" tab from the pop-up menu. now select the entry that does not work (more than likely the non default one) and then just delete that entry. the one running now says it is the "current os" so it is pretty obvious which one to delete.

this will remove it from the list and with only one os listed it will skip that menu and just boot up.

be sure it is the right one you are deleting however, as you can make the pc unbootable if you delete the one that does is supposed to boot!!

So when I go into MSCONFIG, the one that says Current OS will be the one that I leave alone and delete the other OS instead because my computer obviously isn't running from that one? I want to be crystal clear here, haha.

You explained it perfectly, I just wanted to be crystal clear on my end, not you. It makes me retain the information better so I don't need to reference this post every time the situation happens with a computer !
