when i click on firefox it opens an shoot of to the right off the monitor

mozilla,firefox shoots off to the right of the screen . Uninstalled and re-installed; still the same. using tv as monitor to watch shows? help

Is the TV your primary screen? Some programs want to open on the primary screen.

I know Firefox always opens on my primary screen(but I never drag it over to the other side to see how it reacts in the next launch. will check that), but VLC for instance remember the last location as does PowerDVD and Windows Media Center.

Firefox will open on the screen it was closed on, be it the primary or secondary display. If you're using (or had used) a dual display set up. turn on both displays, open firefox, move it back to the primary display and then close it. It will open on this display from now on.

if windows 7+ With the application selected, Hold the windows key and press the left or right arrows a few times.. this will cycle through mnoving the application arround on the different monitors.

😉, another cool one is on pro and above if magnifier is set up right, windows key +scroll wheel lets you zoom in on the screen i think ,
