When I connect my laptop to my Asus Monitor it kinda looks fuzzy!

I recently bought a Asus monitor,I connect my laptop via hdmi becuase my laptoo doesnt have vga or dvi,so when i connect it it look fuzzy or pixelated or juat wierd,its in 1920x1080.I heard that vga look better .So can i use a hdmi to vga converter to make it seem better?

Which monitor do yu have? perhaps 1080 is not its native resolution.

Its an Asus VP228,and recommended settings asre 1920x1080p
