I had Chrome installed before but it couldn't connect to the internet and told me that a network change has happened. I uninstalled chrome and reinstalled it, but now when I try to install it again or any other browser the .exe doesn't do anything. Please help

Solution

Turns out that the problem was my Norton anti-virus software. I do however...

I have Norton antivirus installed, and I just noticed that when I try to do a scan nothing happens as well. When I right click the chrome installer .exe file and run it as administrator, it asks if I let it make changes on this computer and after I click yes nothing happens.

Do you know how to boot from a CD/DVD? If so, download and burn this using an ISO burning utility (such as ImgBurn): http://www.avg.com/us-en/avg-rescue-cd

The AVG Rescue CD allows you to scan your system before Windows starts, that way any potential malware cannot start. It may not be malware that is causing your system to malfunction, but this is a good place to start.

Turns out that the problem was my Norton anti-virus software. I do however sincerely appreciate your efforts to help fix this issue, thank you.
