When i download something it doesent give me an option to where i want to save it

When i just downloaded an application it went directly to my ssd and dident give me a option to save it to my harddrive

What browser do you use?

Firefox-Tools-Options:
You can set a default location, or have it ask you every time.

I set my default to somewhere on the HDD.

They all don't give the option. Try rename the file. drag it to desk top. open the drive you what & drop it there.

If its going into your downloads folder, you can just right click on the downloads folder, then click on the location tab and then change the drive letter to the desired drive. Path for Windows 7 would be something like C:\Users\"name"\Downloads

You have to tell your browser what to do. As USA said above:

1. Display menu bar in Firefox if not already visible (right click on top are, check "menu bar").
2. Select Tools / Options
3. Under downloads pick "always ask me where to save files"

If ya still using Internet Explorer, this alone os a good reason to switch. In IE, it's a pain in da butt

If you are using Chrome, the "default" is in Options - Settings - Advanced - Downloads

Tools
View Downloads
Options (bottom left corner)
Select a default Download location
OK
