when i go into bios it asks for a password which i dont have what do i need to do to bypass it

That is the message I get when attempting to start my Dell Dimension 3000 When I hit either F2 or F12 the option I have when presented with the BIOS Version from F2 is Enter Setup Password which I do not have or have no idea when or how it was set

Sorry, we can't help you with bypassing passwords because we have no way of telling if the device actually belongs to you. Call the retailer you bought it from. If they can't help, call Dell.

it is against forum rules to help bypass any passwords, as you can not prove that you are the owner over the internet. You need to ask whoever set the password to remove it or tell you what it is.
