Question When I hold down a key, it acts as if I'm repeatedly pressing it.

So I'm got this problem where when I hold down a key on my key board it acts as if I'm spamming the key. This results in problems in-game when there's a button to display the emote wheel I'm trying to hold down the key to see it but the keyboard acts if I'm spamming the key and so you start to see the emote wheel flickering (as if you were repeatedly pressing the the emote wheel button key rather than just holding it down.
If I press another key for example w then i freeze in place like there is a invisible barrier in front of me.
Can someone please help me this is really stressful.
