When I install an SSD to my PC how to I put the OS onto it?

install an os from a dvd or usb flash drive.

You get a USB drive or a DVD with your OS's image on it and insert it into the machine.

You then boot from device or DVD and begin the installation process.

It's really that simple.

Is this a new build, or a conversion from a hard drive.
If you are converting, the easy thing to do is to clone the hard drive to the ssd.

If this is a new build and your are just loading windows, boot from your install media and tell it to install on the ssd.
Do not have any other drive attached until the install is done.
