When i plug in my external hdd into any system it freezes.

When i plug in my external hdd into any systyem it freezes.When i plug it into my PS3 it freezes compleatly. I reinstalled my windows (not because of hdd) and now at least it recognizes that i pluged it in but i can't format it or load disk management.

I know it's Hitachi 1TB external hard drive but i'm not sure about model. I think it is Touro one.

yea it is one with the USB Adapter built in. Honestly if it does that on everything you plug it into the USB adapter might be bad on it.
