All the components, the lights and fans in my pc turn on for 1 second and turn off again. BTW I am using an extension chord to plug my pc and my monitor, so I turn off the extension chord and turn it on again then I press the power button again then it suddenly works. But sometimes when I turn off and on the extension chord it doesnt work so I also turn off and on the psu switch then press the power button then it works. I dont know the problem here but this is a new gaming rig. I paid the tech guy in the shop to assemble the parts since I didnt know how to. This only happens when I shut down my pc but when I let my pc sleep its fine.

Here are my specs:
AMD RYZEN 5 1600 PROCESSOR
GTX 1050 TI GRAPHICS CARD
B450 AORUS M MOTHERBOARD
HYPERX FURY 4GB DDR4 BLACK RAM (2 OF THOSE SINCE I USE DUAL CHANNELING)
APACER ARMOR 240GB SSD
1.0 TB WD BLUE HDD
COOLERMASTER B500 VER.2 500 WATTS PSU

I have experienced the same thing with a bad motherboard….. so consider it as well

Yes can't exactly say no, but there's a possibility that your HDD will damaged sometimes if keep doing that.
