[SOLVED] When I run old windows games such as Sonic 3 and Knuckles Collection It would run to fast making the game unplayable. How do I fix it?

See I was playing Sonic 3 and knuckles collection (windows9x game) and when opened it it would run so fast that I cant play it. Turbo buttons don't exist on modern computers. How do i fix it.

Get riva tuner statistics server and lock FPS to 60,you can even make a profile so it only limits sonic to that framerate.
If 60 is still too fast obviously you can go even lower.

Could you experiment with setting the windows power options clock rate to less than 100%

The obvious thing to do is use some program (i recommend Rivatuner Statistics Server) to lock FPS to 60. If all else fails, consult pcgamingwiki.com; if there's a way to get a game running again, its listed there.
