When I search for external hard drives they don't show RPM?

Do they have RPM and if they do how can I find it out?

If I used a USB 3.0, would it be a good RPM of which compares to internal?

Hello... you need to Google/Search MFG'r sites for more details... Look for a 7200 always for best speed... avoid the 5400 models when you can.

Even when searching the websites I cannot find the information. Do they even have RPM?

Hello... give me a link of what you are looking at, what your thinking of buying... RPM = revolutions per minute... 5400/7200/10000... You can buy your own External case and put any drive you want to in it.

So i could buy an internal and place it in a case for external use?

It is a 5400 rpm drive. With Seagate if they don't mention 7200 rpm it will be a 5400 rpm drive.

Why would you use an external drive for gaming?

Yes... you can search External cases... USB3.0 and Sata Interface and size of drive you wish to use, ( 3.5/2.5 ), and insert it into the case yourself.

However would there be a downside of it being slightly slower because i would use USB 3.0 instead of it being in the actual computer.
