Basically the title. When I try to do a little overclock using intel extream tuning program, my computer will freeze instantly and blue screen. All I want is to be able to overclock it a little to boost my fps in some games before I upgrade my graphics card early next year.

I am running windows 8 (which I heard is bad for overclocking, but I am not trying to set any records here) and have a liquid cooler. I cant find what specific type of motherboard I have, but I know it is an Asus. My power supply is 750 watts.

I think that it may be a problem with my BIOS being out of date, but I have no idea. I also dont know how to flash a new BIOS so maybe you could link me to a site with that information.

I can upload any extra information you want with some directions.

Just realized that the entire system information is avalible from the intel extreme tuning program. Here is a screenshot of it: http://i.imgur.com/begMeFO.png

Solution
Just overclock within your bio's normally blue screens from a overclock means the overclock isn't configured properly just try to add voltage to your vcore until you notice that you have stable system and then go from there. just stay safe and look at other peoples settings for overclocking mainly vcore and multiplier
