Monitor: 49" Samsung Neo G9
Hey guys. I have a quick question about this monitor. Appreciate any help I can get. Thank you!
(Monitor Firmware 1011 / Running windows 10 with a 4090) So I just bought the Samsung 49" neo g9 monitor and I just recently noticed when I switch from SDR mode to HDR mode on the desktop, in display settings, the computer screen turns black for a second (I know this is normal), then it turns back on. What I noticed today, that I didn't yesterday is, after turning on hdr mode from SDR mode, the screen goes to black, and when it turns on again, the desktop looks a little brighter, and 1 second after, it dims. I didn't notice it doing this yesterday, is it normal? I have local dimming set to auto.
Here is a quick video of me switching from SDR mode to HDR: https://imgur.com/a/pI5rGv7
***UPDATE*** I changed the wallpaper of my desktop to something that wasn't black and so dark. It was a lighter blue wallpaper (Starfield wallpaper), and it didn't dim after switching to hdr like the video above. So I assume this is normal and the local dimming zones are doing it's job with the first wallpaper that was dark?
