when i turn on makes a click sound, then clicks&turns off

When i turn my sanyo 42in. Tv on, it makes a click noise, then it turns off making tha same click, and it wont stay on.

Sounds like the power supply is bad. Typical failure for flatscreen TVs. Usually bad capacitors. If you have some electronic skills you might be able to repair or replace the power supply board.
