When I turn on my amazon monitor light, it activates a keypad light thats also connected to my pc. What's going on?

My amazon monitor light + 3 key keypad with led and knob are both connected to my pc.

First off the led is already buggy it cant be programmed that well. But the question is

When I press the light on my monitor light it randomly turns on leds on my keypad how is this even possible?

If I were to guess, the light (if it connects via USB) sends a signal to your computer to "wake up" which means your Amazon monitor light could have installed software to your computer.

For example, my logitech mice, whenever I plug them in to a new computer ask me to install software that's stored in the ROM of the mouse. Logi Options +

I wouldn't be surprised if amazon tried to install some sort of tracking software.
