That sounds normal so far. PS2s are supposed to show "Browser" and "System Configuration" at the most basic menu.

Are you saying that when you click on Browser, it doesn't show the disk you've inserted?

Clean off the disk then press the green reset button. Keep doing that until the game launches. Always worked for me in my childhood.
