When I type a letter like 'p', it will type 12:06PM 6/18/2016p instead and the only working letters are 'f', 'k' 'p' and 'w'.

I don't know what's wrong with my laptop keyboard and I want to fix it.

Hi,

Please do try these troubleshooting steps that may help.
- First is to do a hard reboot, remove the battery and unplug the AC adapter then press and hold the power button for 20 seconds. Do test it again after the hard reboot and see if that will solve the problem or not.
- Next to try would be to uninstall/reinstall the keyboard driver from Device Manager.
- If the same problem will persist do run System Restore. Restore the laptop to an earlier date when it was working properly.

- If System Restore will still not work, try using an external USB keyboard and test if it will work normally or not.
- If the external keyboard will work normally, that could mean it's the keyboard itself that is faulty and replacing it would be the only solution.

For further info: I have a Windows Vista, and not a PC. So I can't very well unplug my keyboard...
