when i type password i see nothing but white screen and the cursor...not able to do anything..

My laptop is working very slow and when i open and type the password it poens after 2 min and i cannot see the desktop......only white screen

if its so slow, then most likely it is still working in the background.
it should not be that slow, have it fix
