I know that the problem is not my RAM as the computer is working with the slots 1 and 2 being used.

The DDIM slots look fine, there is no obvious damage.

XMP is enabled, I have been told to enable this in the bios, but I'm not too sure what it does or how it works.

specifications:
RAM - Corsair Vengance RGB pro x2 16GB
Motherboard - Z390 A - Pro
CPU - i5 9400f
GPU - Gigabyte RTX 2060

XMP lets the RAM run at its advertised speed/timing so if it's DDR4 3000 or DDR4 3200 - it'll be reflected in CPU-Z or Control Panel. What may be missing is dual channel. CPU-Z can confirm if that's the case.
