when im using my laptop and move it, the screen goes of and goes to the lock

when im using my pc and move it a bit , the screen goes of and it locks itself. it was once internally broken. what could be the problem?

If the laptop uses a mechanical switch to detect lid-down condition, the switch maybe broken.
