Hi,

I am downgrading from Win8 to Win7

i searched the net quite some time now and believe that it is the driver for the mobo causing this problem . (no USB2/3 option in BIOS - tried all ports)

I do not find any mobo drivers . The laptop is Toshiba Satellite P30W-30 (formatted) with serial nr YE153671C . I just don't find a driver for the mobo - but others I do .

I searched here and here :
http://www.toshiba.eu/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp?service=EU
http://www.support.toshiba.com/support/driversResults?freeText=YE153671C

No mobo driver - could you please navigate me to one ?

And also - I tried to make it find any files on the USB when prompted, but the folders are different from when using the USB on an installed Windows . Tried with a second USB - doesn't detect it . How could I make it read any drivers at all ?

Thanks . . . thanks

if the restore partion for the laptop still there you can boot from it and restore the hard drive. if you removed it from a working pc download microsoft media creation tool and download windows iso file using the laptop key.
the nuse the free iso to usb tool to make a bootable usb stick.
http://wudt.codeplex.com/

in the bios set hard drive boot to the usb stick or use the boot overrige to boot from the usb stick. if the usb stick is read right you get a message hit any key to boot from cd. hit any key and the windows installer will start.
