When my laptop is booting up, the screen flickers between solid black to black with lines and red columns. And just does this

Laptop not booting up, screen flickering between black and pixelated black with red columns. Need help urgently, thanks.

sounds like bad onboard video or bad system ram if the onboard video does not have dedicated ram. if have or can borrow a monitor to see if that problem shows up on it or not.
