when my system is connected to a network automatically system gets shut down and restarts after a while. Why this is happening

system gets shut down only when it is connected to a network. After some seconds system restarts by itself. what may be the reasons. Do i consult a technician to solve this problem?

We need more information. Is this a wired connection or wireless? Is it immediately upon connecting to any network or just your home network? What OS do you use? How old is the computer in question? If you have eventviewer on the computer it would help, but answering those questions at the moment will help more.

As it stands, it sounds like one of 2 things. You either have a bad network adapter on the computer, which is easily fixed, or you have a virus, which means time to call a technician with a decent up to date USB bootable OS with an anti-virus program.
